On December 9, 2018, Olive Virginia (Smith) Roberts was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and was reunited with the love of her life, Hubert Roberts.  Her life is being celebrated by her family and friends.

She was born in Greenville Ohio on February 1, 1942, to David and Zelma Smith.

During their 52 years of marriage they raised 6 children: Mike (Lisa) Roberts, Mableton, Ga, Annette (Darrell) Poling, Greensburg, IN, Joy (Randol) Easton, Evansville, IN, Rhonda (Mark) Wassom, Walton KY, Julie Cook (Steve Auker, friend),  Winchester, IN, Justin (Marsi) Roberts, Greentown, IN.  She is lovingly known as “Grandma Ollie” to 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  She was a friend and confidant and unselfishly gave of herself to those around her.

She was a sibling to 3 brothers and 11 sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert, her parents, 1 brother and 6 sisters.

How much sweeter this world would be if others would show love the way that she did.  She has left behind enough love and memories to last a lifetime.  She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be at held on Thursday, December 13, at 11am, at The United Pentecostal Church, 466 Elm Street, in Winchester with Rev Randy Easton and Darrell Poling officiating.  Burial will follow in Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.

Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 on Wednesday at the church and also one hour prior to the services on Thursday.

Walker Funeral Home in Winchester is entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerswinchester.com.

I want to express how sorry Iam for the familys loss. There are some very comforting words found in Gods Word, the Bible, at Acts the 17th. chapter, verses 24 & 25 where God is called "the source of life"......the One who gave life to all living creatures is certainly capable of restoring life to our loved ones who have died. Another comforting scripture is found in the Bible book of Job, the 14th. chapter, verses 14 & 15. It speaks about how God longs to bring back those who are in His memory & see them live on earth again. I hope this brings the family comfort. My sincere condolence to you & yours.
