Margaret P. Goforth, 88, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester.  She was born on August 8, 1930, in Rosslyn, KY, to Granville and Pricie (Gilley) Goforth.

Margaret worked at the News Gazette.  She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed playing cards, going to rummage sales and flea markets and doing puzzle books.

Margaret is survived by her three children, Terry (husband, Donald) Goforth of New Castle, IN, Rose (Tim) Brandenburg of Winchester, and Bob (Brenda) Goforth of Winchester; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debra Lynn Goforth; four brothers, Henry Goforth, William Goforth, Albert Goforth, and John Goforth; and two sisters, Mary Goforth and Sudie McCollum.

A memorial service for Margaret will be at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Church of Christ. 

Friends and family may call two hours prior to the services at the church.

So sorry for your loss, Had a lot of fun at bingo. Every time I seen Margaret at the nursing home. I would go up behind her and kiss her on the cheek she knowed it was me (every time) she will be missed

I am so sorry to hear the passing of Margaret I just found out a few minutes ago I express my sadness she enjoyed our trip when I took her to North Carolina, we went to many bingo games together I enjoyed her family re-unions especially when I got to the pig picken
