William Darrell Sarff, 76, of Lynn, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. He was born on October 21, 1947, in Winchester, to William S. and Marilyn (Dodd) Sarff.
Darrell served in the US army in Vietnam. He worked for Randolph County Farms Best Way as a mechanic. Darrell was a member of the Wheels of Time Club. He was a train enthusiast and enjoyed going to train shows and rebuilding semi-trucks.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Judith (Brockman) Sarff; 5 children, Nathan (Tracy) Sarff of Winchester, Nancie (Randy) Ruhl of Winchester, Nick (Angi) Sarff of Fort Wayne, Hannah (Rob) Breymier of Union City OH, and Amanda (Gideon) Adkins of Union City, OH; grandchildren, Travis, Danielle, Maxem, Nikolina, Oliver, Allie, Haley, Madelyn, Addison, Raiden, and Baby Adkins; great grandchildren, Laine and Noble; step children, Lori Revelia and John (April) Caldwell; and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; his step mother, Dova Sarff; sister, Donna Wills, and granddaughter, Melody.
A service to celebrate Darrell’s life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastor Dale Bales officiating. Burial will follow at the Goshen Cemetery in Richmond.
Friends and family may call from 12-2 p.m., on Friday, at the funeral home.
