William B. Westfall, of Union City, went to Heaven on June 12, 2023. He was born on April 19, 1934, to Sherril and Naomi Boze Westfall Hill. He worked at the family dry cleaning business early in life and retired from Sheller Globe Corporation in 1996. He went to work for Frank Miller Lumber Company and retired again in 2006.
Bud, as many of you knew him, graduated from West Side High School in 1952. He married Shirley Ann Lees on August 8, 1952. He was a member of Union City Lions Club, Elks, and Free Masons. He served on the Randolph Eastern School Board for 12 years. He served on the Union City Park Board for 10 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church and later in life, the First Presbyterian Church.
In additions to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Kent Westfall; his stepfather, Clarence Hill; stepbrother, George Hill and George’s wife, Adebelle Hill.
Bud is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann (Lees) Westfall; a son, Marc Allan (Jennifer) Westfall; granddaughters, Carly Ann (Brad) Howell, Erin Lynn (Brian) Dugger; 3 great grandchildren, Miles Allan Howell, Delaney Ann Dugger, and William Leo Dugger, all of Greenwood. He has nephews that he loved dearly, Steve, Robert, Dan, and Tom Lees.
Bud enjoyed spending time with his family making sure they were supported and loved. He loved helping with projects for his granddaughters.
Bud also enjoyed golfing with his Union City friends and never met a stranger.
There will be a private graveside service at the Union City Cemetery.
