Veryl Richard Kepner, 91, of Union City, passed away on Wednesday February 9, 2022, at Wayne HealthCare, in Greenville, Ohio. He was born on January 16, 1931, in Greenville, Ohio to Samuel L. and Iona (Poe) Kepner.
Dick served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a supervisor at Overmyer Foundry. Dick enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, watching the Cincinnati Reds, and attending church services at Community Fellowship Church.
Dick is survived by his bonus children, Diana (Craig) Brutout, Carol Burkett, Rick (Jodi) Collins; his children, Kim Hoppe and Cindy (Roger) Eadens; his grandchildren, Nikki (Kevin Briner) Sears, James Moland, Brittani (Chris) Webb, Richard (Amy) Collins, and Kyle Clack; 19 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren; and sister, Doris Ann Self.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Lucille (Thompson) Kepner; his parents; a granddaughter, Brandi (Burkett) Proffitt; and brothers, Pete and Dale Kepner.
A service to celebrate Dicks’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Community Fellowship Church, 1051 N Jackson Pike, Union City, IN 47390, with Pastor Richard Collins officiating. Burial with military services will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, at the church.
