V. "Buck" Hunley

V. “Buck” Hunley, 94, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center.  He was born on November 12, 1928 to Glen and Nellie (Anderson) Hunley.

Buck was a plasterer.  His favorite meal was beans and dumplings.  Buck was a member of the Countryside Christian Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports. 

Buck is survived by his wife of 74 years, Norma Jean (Coulter) Hunley; a son, Jim (Peggy) Hunley; daughter, Sherry Hunley; grandchildren, Shannon (Joseph) Bradley and Megan Hunley; great grandchildren, Miranda and Noah; and his dog Marcie.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dean Hunley; and a sister, Betty.

A service to celebrate Buck’s life will be at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the Countryside Christian Church in Winchester, with Pastor Melissa Kleinschmidt officiating.  Burial will follow at the Brick Memorial Cemetery in Union City, Indiana.

Friends and family may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on Thursday at the church.
