Ted Orr Beer, 91, of Winchester, passed away peacefully June 12, 2023, in his home surrounded by family. He was born March 6, 1932 to Thomas and Lulu (Dumbauld) Beer.
Ted retired from Overmyer Mould Company after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Nazarene Church where he once enjoyed being part of the choir. He loved golfing, riding motorcycles and mowing lawns.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Beer; three sisters, Ruth Baker, Ruby Overholt, and Betty Brunson; and three children, Jay, Randall, and Linda Beer.
Ted is survived by his devoted wife of sixty-seven years, Kathryn Beer; four sons, Alan Beer of Winchester, Gerry Beer of Winchester, Dan Beer of Muncie, and Eric Beer of Winchester; grandchildren, Brooke (Ian) Wieseke, Nicole, (Adam) Hoover, Krystal (Mike) McConnell, and Randall (Samantha) Beer; and six great grandchildren, Xander, Zoey, Owen, Sutton, Tiberius, and Grayson; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Ted’s life will be at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastor Danny Hines officiating.
Friends and family may call from 5-7 p.m., on Friday, at the funeral home.
