Lynn, Indiana – Susie J. Arnett Bailey, age 83, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026.
Born in Gunlock KY on November 14, 1942, to the late Galen and Betty Allen Arnett. Susie married Ronald Bailey on May 10, 1969, in West Virginia.
Susie was a long-time resident of Lynn, Indiana, where she built a life centered around love, family, and community. Alongside her beloved late husband, Ronald "Ronnie" Bailey Sr., she dedicated her life to raising their three children and creating a warm, welcoming home.
Susie found joy in the simple things in life. She and Ronnie loved their regular shopping trips to Walmart, which often turned into wonderful social hours as they met up and chatted with local friends. At home, Susie showed her love through her incredible cooking. Her family will always cherish the memories of her delicious home-cooked meals, especially her famous fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and homemade biscuits.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three children: Renee Ballinger and her husband Jeremy, Ronald Bailey Jr. and his partner Bobby, and Stella Daggett and her husband Chad. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shauna Mullins (Jonathan), Cari Dixon (Joshua), Caleb Rheinhart (Anita), and Jack Daggett; her step-grandchildren, Noah Ballinger and Dillon Ballinger (Navaeh); and her great-grandchildren, Isabella Dixon, Hunter Snyder, and Hayden Snyder and one step great grandson Michael Fenton, Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald “Ronnie” Bailey Sr, and all of her brothers and sisters.
Baptized at Chapelwood Baptist Church, her journey of faith began in the water and lives on forever in God's light.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at Walker Funeral Home 248 E South St Winchester, IN. Friends and family may gather to share on Tuesday June 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 with a service following. She will be laid to rest at Fountain Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local food pantry to help prevent hunger.
