Steven Ray Sterling

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of a beloved father and grandfather, Steven Ray Sterling (58).

Steve was born in Winchester, Indiana April 13, 1966 to Ruby ‘Maxine’ (Garrett) and William ‘Ray’ Sterling. Steve graduated from Winchester High School in 1984. He was the head custodian at Deerfield Elementary and Baker Elementary for over 20 years.

Steve enjoyed cars, deer hunting, listening to a variety of music, joking around, and spending time with family. He was a devoted father and amazing Pa to his grandson.

Steve is survived by his daughter Lexi (Sterling) Woods, son in law Jake Woods, grandson Archie Woods of Knoxville, Tennessee; sister Mary Ann Passmore and brother in law Tim Passmore of Winchester.

Steve was preceded in death by his dear parents Ruby Maxine and William Ray Sterling and his grandpup Kate.
