Sonda June (Garner) Hawley

Sonda Hawley died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on August 10, 2025. She was a devoted member of her community and a pillar of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of generosity, kindness, compassion, and guiding wisdom that touched the lives of countless friends, family, and strangers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Sr. in 2011, as well as her parents Marvin Garner and Neva Moore.

She is survived by her beloved son, Phillip Jr. (PJ) and his family: wife Jessica, and daughters Jillian and Pippa. She is also survived her siblings Marva Helms, Andrew Garner, and Marilee LeVasseur, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Her life will be celebrated on August 23 rd at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, Indiana. Calling hours will be from 11am to 1pm. Services will begin at 1pm, followed by a short graveside service to be held at Fountain Park Cemetery, also in Winchester, Indiana.
