Shirley Joann Plessinger

Shirley Joann Plessinger, 85, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester.  She was born on January 24, 1938, in Wapello, IA, to Orvel and Lila Dillman.

Shirley loved being outdoors.  Her favorite activities included going to the Circle X Ranch, mowing her yard, and watching her birds.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; her daughter, Sharon Harris; great granddaughter Billie Mae; and her 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Janell and her husband John Bowmer of Winchester, Cathy and her husband Art Kirtley of Lynn, and Theresa Hopkins of Lynn; her bonus daughter, Barbara Grasse; her grandchildren, Joe Wilson, Sabra Bowmer, Ghea Chamberlain, and Michael Hopkins; bonus grandchildren, Taylor and Elaina; and great grandchildren, Alexa Wilson, James Callaway, Dakota Chamberlain, Aiden Kirby, Paige Kirby and Piper Hopkins.

A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the Circle X Ranch, 818 W 250 N, Winchester, Indiana, with a carry in dinner to follow.  Burial will be at a later date at Quaker Lynn Cemetery.
