Sarah Elizabeth (Conyers) Fields

The Lord sent his angels to gather up our beloved mother and sister, and they laid her gently into His arms where she rests forever.

Sarah Elizabeth Conyers Fields, 55, of Union City, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023.  Sarah was born May 5, 1967, to Louis and Pauline Conyers in New Castle, IN. She graduated from Union City Community High School in 1985, and was employed at at Neil’s A&W Drive Inn, and Ha-Ste Manufacturing Co., Inc., of Union City, OH, for a number of years as a supervisor.  She was manager of her 2nd husband’s, John Fields, band St. Wright.

She was associated with the Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity of Winchester; a member of the Moose Lodge, Celina, OH, and a member of the former Union City Church of the Nazarene. Sarah enjoyed embroidery, cross-stitch, weekend camping at Lake St. Mary's and spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, William V. Wicker, Sr.; and second husband, John H. Fields, former Mayor of Union City, OH. She is survived by two sons, William V. Wicker, Jr. (Amy) and Cody A. Wicker (Amy); a sister, Deborah J. Jones (William); three brothers, Mark A. Conyers (Terry); Nathaniel W. Conyers; and Timothy E. Conyers. Also surviving is special friend, Brian Ozbun, and her beloved cat, Jerry.

Friends and family may call at the Walker Funeral Home, 248 E. South St., Winchester, from 5-7 p.m., on Thursday, February 23, 2023, as well as an hour before services on Friday, February 24, at 1:00 p.m., Timothy E. Conyers officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery, Hagerstown.  Flowers are welcome; memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
