Ruth N. Sibley, 91, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester.
She was born on May 31, 1922 in Lynn to Clifford and Bessie (Alexander) Platt. She was a homemaker. Ruth loved to cook and can garden vegetables for her family and friends. She always wanted to feed or offer a cup of coffee to anyone that stopped by her house. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, but above all, she loved her family.
Survivors include her son, Walker (wife Rita) Wasson of Winchester; her daughter, Carolyn (husband Paul) Bates of Nashville, IN; numerous grandchildren and step grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Clyde Towne, Walker Wasson and Russell Sibley; three sons, Richard Wasson, Donald Towne and Sidney Wasson; a daughter, Bessie Towne Bonham; and a brother, Herschel Platt.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will follow in Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. Friends and relatives may call two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
