Ruth E. (Hildreth) Johnson

Ruth E. Johnson, 76, of Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at IU Health Jay County Hospital in Portland.  She was born on August 19, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio, to Robert E. and Margaret (Matheny) Hildreth.

Ruth had worked at Huffman Reality in Daleville and Wagner Auction and Real Estate in Farmland.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 446 in Daleville and transferred to Ridgeville Unit 507.  She had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1987.  In that time she was Auxiliary President of Unit 507 and a 10th District Chaplain for year ‘21 and ’22.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John Jay Johnson; and her parents.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be announced at a later date.
