Ronald Lee Byrd

Ronald L. Byrd, 72, of Lynn, Indiana passed away July 3rd, 2026 at Reid Hospital in Richmond Indiana, after a long battle with cancer. 

Ron was born in Dayton, Ohio to Frank and Marion (Asher) Byrd on November 23, 1953. Ron went to Randolph Southern High School and resided in Lynn, Indiana for the majority of his life. Ron was a retired truck driver who had many passions and hobbies in life. One of Ron’s greatest joys was being called “Poppy” by his grandsons Alex and Noah. He went to Community of Faith Church in Richmond, Indiana. 

Ron is survived by his wife, Jeanie; daughters Angela (Chris) Rector, and Shanna (Andy) Wandersee; his grandsons Alex and Noah Wandersee; brother Wayne (Judy) Denney; and many nieces and nephews. 

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Marion (Asher) Byrd; and sister Tina Marie Byrd.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date for family.
