Robert was born October 17, 1944, to Oscar and Jeannette (Zimmerman) Waxman in Philadelphia, PA. After moving cross country to California, enlisting in the U.S. Air-force, and serving in Vietnam he met his beautiful wife of 43 years, Sandra Kay Waxman (Kindell). Together, they have 4 children. Ilene Stolberg (husband Joshua), David Anderson (wife Sarah), Omar Wood (wife Ratsamy) and Owen Waxman (wife Shae).
Although Robert was proud to be a part of the US Airforce, the job he took the most pride in was being a father and husband. He cared so deeply for his family and never met a stranger. He was kind and passionate. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and made an impact on many lives. He will be forever missed, until we meet again.
Robert was predeceased by his father, mother, sisters Rhonda and Linda and his only brother Charles. He is survived by his wife Sandy, their 4 children, their spouses, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Robert’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Ty Thompson officiating. Military services will follow at the funeral home
