Robert (Bob) A. Marker, 75, of Winchester, passed away on October 12, 2022 at his home in Winchester. He was born on January 30, 1947, in Greenville, Ohio to the late Ora and Louise (Reisor) Marker. On June 30, 1990, Bob married Susan (Keener) Marker in Winchester, Indiana.
Bob had two children, a son, Todd Marker (Deceased), wife Sandie Marker, Grandchildren, Christopher Marker, Brianna Perusek, husband James, and great granddaughters, Ariana and Makenzie, all of Riverview Florida; a daughter, Melissa Bush, husband Daren of Winchester, Granddaughter, Kassandra Stiverson, husband Clint Stiverson, great granddaughters, Rebecca, Rachel and Ruth all of Casstown, Ohio, and grandson Kyle Blackford, Fiancée Brooke Henry of Portland, Indiana; two stepsons, Gene (Rob) Croyle, wife Daphne of Winchester, Indiana and Steven Croyle, Jr. of Muncie, Indiana; Bob also has a brother, James (Jim) Marker and one sister, Alice Marker (Deceased) both of Greenville, Ohio; his father and mother-in-law, Gene and Mildred Keener of Winchester, Indiana, both Deceased; and a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Judy Conning of Farmland, Indiana.
Bob was employed at Anchor Hocking Glass for 30+ years. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Bob was a POW and a Purple Heart recipient. Bob was very active in the community, he was a member of Indiana Freemasons since 1986 (Past Commander) Farmland Lodge, a Past Master at the Winchester Freemasons, Scottish Rite since 1987, Fort Wayne, Mizpah Shriners, Eastern Star, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Union City, American Legion, Union City, Federal Kennel Club the Order of Yellow Dog, and was a Santa’s Helper.
A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with David Cassady officiating. Friends and family may call from 2-5 p.m., on Thursday at the funeral home.
