Ricky Lee Thomas, of Winchester, a young man known for his vibrant spirit and ability to bring joy to those around him, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, at the age of 35.
Ricky was born on October 9th, 1990, in Greenville, Ohio, to Michael Thomas and Christina (Gilland) Booher.
He graduated from Union City Community High School in 2009. Ricky devoted many years of his early career working at Walmart. In 2019, he joined the team at the Silvertowne Mint as a production assistant. He was a reliable and valued employee, often treated like family by the staff and his co-workers.
A truly gifted young man, Ricky had a unique ability to bring laughter and happiness wherever he went. He was an enthusiastic fan of horror movies and comedies, finding joy in shared entertainment. Ricky was an amazing artist. Above all, Ricky was fiercely devoted to his friends and family. To those who knew him, the world is now a bit darker, even smaller, without his presence in it.
Ricky is loved, survived, and remembered by his brothers, Craig and Kellen Thomas; his uncles, Jody and Shelby Thomas; his aunt, Robin Hess; his best friend, Nathan Roth; special friends, Angie Brown, Nicole Morrow, and Tim Garland; and numerous cousins;
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Michael Thomas and Christina Booher; his paternal and maternal grandparents; and his uncle, Donnie Wayne Thomas.
Celebration of Ricky’s life will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester. Friends and family can gather to share from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
Ricky's generosity continued following his death through organ donation. Please consider being an organ/tissue donor.
Dress will be casual.
