Richard Guy Mosier (Mo), 55, passed away on January 5, 2024 at his home in Winchester, Indiana. He was born April 29, 1968 to Richard and Barbara Mosier in Winchester, Indiana.
Rick was a graduate of Winchester Community High School, class of 1986. He married the love of his life, Melissa, on July 4, 2016 and they had been together for 10 years before that. Rick owned and operated his own business, Marksmen Tool and Die, for 15 years with his best guy friends until he sold it to Amark Silvertowne Mint. He continued on as manager there after the sale in 2022. Rick was an outdoors man through and through; he loved to hunt and fish, and he always found an excuse to work outside. One thing about Rick was if his garage was open, you knew all his guys were either there or on their way with at least one cold 12-pack. He never missed a chance to be with his friends or family. Rick loved to be with his daughter and watch her follow her dreams at vet school, work on his project truck, spend time with his granddog Nala, and host a fish fry every year. Even though they lived in Winchester, Rick and Melissa loved to travel. By plane to Florida, by slingshot to Niagara Falls, or by raft down the Arkansas River in Colorado, he always wanted to go on adventures. Anyone that knew Rick, knew that he had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. He was known by a lot of people in this community and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the chance to know him.
Rick is survived by his daughter Kara Mosier and her dog Nala; his wife Melissa Mosier; his father Dick Mosier; his sister Tammy Sells and her husband John Sells; his niece Haleigh Sells and her family; his niece Whitney Sells; his nephew Cole Sells and his family; his nephew Travis Simmons and his family; his nephew Shae Sells and his family; his nephew David Sells; his stepson Zach Girton and his wife Rikki Girton as well as their children Darian and Lennon Girton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother Barbara Mosier, his father-in-law Doug Wicker, his stepdaughter Missy Girton, and several aunts and uncles.
A private service is taking place for immediate family and friends by invite only. A Celebration of Life will be set at a later date in late spring/early summer for everyone who knew Rick. Details about that will be sent out to the public as they are figured out and when a date has been set.
Walker Funeral Home in Winchester is entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerswinchester.com.
