It is with great sadness that the family share the passing of Reva M. (Warford) Franklin. She was at the great age of 98 and lived in Richmond. She spread her wings to fly to the gates of Heaven, peacefully in her sleep, in the early morning hours of June 26, 2024. She was born in Irvine Kentucky on February 19, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Ollie and Orah (Mom) Warford.
During her many years of life she had enjoyed bowling, playing and coaching softball, crocheting, and playing bingo. Reva was retired from A. O. Smith in Union City, Indiana. As the years began to pass, she most importantly loved spending time with her family.
At the gates of Heaven, she was met by her sister; Iva Jean Powell, her brother; Billy Joe Warford, her three sons; Richard (Dick) Hensley, Robert (Bob) with wife Pat Hensley, and Johnie (Smoke) Franklin.
She leaves behind cherishing her memory her sister; Loretta Warford of Richmond, two daughters; Pat (Donnie) Thompson of St. Louis, and Cindy Franklin of Richmond; a daughter in law; Angie Franklin of Muncie, her lifelong friend; Edith Platt of Lynn, along with 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
You may say your final farewell to Reva on Tuesday July, 2 at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester from the hours of 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Steve McCoy officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Fountain Park Cemetery.
She was the matriarch of our family and was an absolute joy to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be missed beyond anything words can describe
