Ralph David Mills

Ralph David Mills, 37, of Winchester, Indiana passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Ralph, better known as Dave, was born at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, IN on April 12, 1984 to Ralph Douglas Mills and Melissa Hawley Byers. He attended Winchester Community High School and was currently employed at Progress Manufacturing. Dave most enjoyed music of all genres, with a secretive favorite being Verbena. In high school he played lead guitar with some of his closest friends; although his best friend, according to Dave, was his dog, Mya. He was genuinely a kind-hearted person with a quick-witted sense of humor that could make anyone love him. Dave preferred life experiences and time spent with family and friends over material items. Some of his favorite hobbies were woodworking and painting, and he completed each task with an abundance of pride.

Dave is survived by his loving children, Kaylee and Gage Mills; his father, Ralph Douglas Mills; his mother, Melissa Hawley Byers and stepfather Rob; one sister, Jessica Allen; paternal grandmother, Barb Mills; maternal grandparents, Dave and Peggy Hawley and Doyle and Patricia Allen; many aunts and uncles including, but not limited to, Debra Hawley Tewari, Tony and Naomi Hawley, and Sandy Kelly; one niece, Raegan Quattlebaum; two nephews, Brayden Jenkins and Nolan Sutherland; several cousins and friends, including Dave’s very special cousin, Michelle Moland.

Dave was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph Lee Mills; his aunt, Teresa Hughes; his uncle, Clint Hawley; and one son, Ralph Levi Mills.

A service to celebrate Dave’s life will be at 3:00 p.m., on Monday, September 27, 2021, with Bill Bush officiating. 

Friends and family may call from 1-3 p.m., on Monday, at the funeral home.
