Patsy Ruth (Rhoades) McManes

Patsy Ruth (Rhoades) McManes, 92, of Winchester, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Summer’s Pointe.  She was born on January 9, 1930, in Winchester, to Harlan Rhoades and Luvenia “Jackie” (Hudnall) Metz.

Pasty was a graduate of Galion High School in Ohio and had worked as an office assistant in the medical field.  She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winchester.  Patsy was an avid reader and had a true passion for dogs, horses and flowers.  She also enjoyed quilting.

Patsy is survived by daughter-in-law, Karyl McManes; one granddaughter Kristin (Nikki) McManes; three grandsons, Joseph (Tiffany) McManes, Benjamin (Ashley) McManes, and Michael McManes;  nieces and nephews, Tanda (Tony) Abel, David (Debbie) Hendrickson, Kathy (Steve) Barker, Linda (Dean) DeMuyt, Tony Rhoades; sister-in-law, Carolyn Rhoades; and several great grandchildren.

Pasty was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Dr. Joseph M. McManes; her parents; son, Christopher McManes; sister, Ruhama P. Hendrickson; and a brother, Richard Rhoades.

A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m.,  on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Winchester, with Father Peter Logsdon officiating.   Memorials in Patsy's name may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 514 W. Washington St., Winchester, IN 47394.
