Patricia Allen Obituary

Patricia Ann Allen, 81, wife of Doyle Allen, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on December 29, 2023 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital after suffering complications from a fall.  Pat was born on December 12, 1942 in Tuscumbia, Alabama to the late Mary Moore Moland Williams. She moved to Winchester, IN in 1951 with her entire family, where she graduated from Lee Driver High School in 1961.  Pat worked for over 30 years at Anchor Hocking Glass Container, retiring in 2000.  Time spent with her family and friends were her most cherished moments; the best of memories made with love, kindness, and most of all laughter.  She enjoyed bowling, traveling, gambling at casinos, and playing cards.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Doyle; daughters Melissa Hawley Byers (husband Rob); Debra Hawley Tewari (partner Matt); son Tony Hawley (wife Naomi); step-children Jeffrey Allen (partner Jonna); Tonya Roediger (husband Tom); Marita Runkle; and Melinda Hinshaw.  Grandchildren Tony Hawley Jr; Abby Hawley (fiancé Cole); Logan Pegg (partner Deya); Raya, Kieran, and Mia Tewari; Shawn Hawley (fiancé Bekah); Gabe Shandy (wife Nicole); and Israel Shandy.  Step grandchildren Jessica Allen; Dustin Luedeke; Lane Allen; Tasha Allen; Tiana Gaucin; Kyle Roediger (wife Madie); Vanessa Roediger; Nathan Roediger (fiance’ Elaina); Mariah Reece (husband Shawn); and Flynt Runkle. Brothers Dean Moland (Edna); Bob Williams (Debbie); Geoff Williams (Patty); and Greg Williams (Robin).  Sisters Connie Keister (Larry) and Mary DeSpain (Aaron).  Several great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild (Calista), many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a son Clint Hawley; step-son Gregory Allen; grandson David Mills; brothers Tom and David Moland, Chuck Williams; stepfather Charles Williams.

Pat was a gentle soul with a heart of gold.  She never spoke an unkind word and many people were touched by her innate kindness and unconditional love.  She will be remembered best for her beautiful smile, effervescent laughter, and warm, loving hugs.

Special thanks to the following: lifelong friends Ron and Sue Warren and Cheree Coy whom she thought of as a daughter.
