Olivia “Dee” Nordloh, 80, of Winchester, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at Reid Hospital with her daughters by her side. Born on October 8, 1944, in Winchester to Marvin
“Shorty” and Opal (Mills) Runkel, Dee’s life was one marked by quiet strength, and simple joys.
On July 20, 1962, she married her high school sweetheart, John Edwin Nordloh. Together, theybuilt a life filled with laughter, love, farming, and 56 beautiful years of marriage.
Dee was a 1962 graduate of Driver High School (Winchester High School), and later worked for Randolph Central School Corporation, where she faithfully served for 26 years before retiring.
Dee found happiness in life’s everyday moments, mowing her yard, tending to her garden, and filling her home with colorful flowers. She had a talent for cooking and made every meal feel special. In her younger years, she was a devoted “Band Mom,” traveling with the Winchester band, helping with uniforms, hair, makeup, and always cheering from the sidelines with pride. She also loved watching the Colts play and sharing her home with her cherished cats.
Dee is survived by two daughters, Jonna Kenniston (and her partner D.J. Long) of Camdenton, Missouri, and Nancy (Gene) Stimble of Shell Knob, Missouri; her grandchildren, Abbie Kenniston, Justin Kenniston, Donald Stimble, Mattie Stimble, Patrick Stimble, and Nicholas Stimble; her sister-in-law, Evelyn “Pete” Towns; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Nordloh; her parents, Marvin and Opal; her sister, Sharon Runkel Hill; and her son, David John Nordloh.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Walker Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Sells officiating. Family and friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Walker Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Fountain Park Cemetery.
