Nyanza (Betty) E. Mallory, 77, passed Saturday April 5, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones, following her stroke in January. She was born June 18, 1947 in Egira, WV to Clark and Vida (Clay) Walker.
Betty worked for Anchor Hocking for 27 years and retired in 2002. She was a member of the Goldwing Riders Club of Portland, IN. She loved going to the casinos and dancing.
Survivors include her partner and best friend Richard Davis of Winchester. Her children; Clete Fugitt (Lisha Moland) of Winchester, Drema (John) Newton of Winchester, Rob (Andrea) Mallory of Indianapolis, Tracy (James) Overla of Hartford City. As well as 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. Her three brothers; Ron Walker of WV, Wes Walker of Portland, IN, and Glen (Janet) Walker of Portland, IN. Also several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mallory. Her parents, and three brothers; Darrell Walker of WV, Roger Walker of Texas, and Phil Walker of Portland, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday April 13, 2025 with Steve McCoy officiating. Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial at Fountain Park Cemetery will be at a later date.
