Norma Jean Hunley, 96, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her son’s home in Dayton, IN.
Jean was born on September 24, 1929, in Union City, Indiana. Jean was a School Aid at Randolph County School Corporation. She was associated deeply with the church teaching Sunday School for 50 years. She also was the leader of the Signing Choir and a member of the Eastern Star for 46 years.
She is survived by Son Jim Hunley (Peggy), Daughter Sherry Hunley, 2 Granddaughters Shannon Bradley (Joseph) and Megan Hunley, 2 Great Grandchildren Miranda Bradley and Noah Bradley, several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Verlin L Hunley, Mother and Father Carl and Rovena (Carter) Coulter, and 5 Brothers Dick Coulter, Ronnie Coulter, Dwayne Coulter, Danny Coulter, and Don Coulter.
A funeral service to celebrate Norma Jean’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Countryside Christian Church. Steve McCoy will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Brick Memorial Park Cemetery north of Union City.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Countryside Christian Church.
