Norma Jean Brumley, age 84 passed away on September 11. 2025 at Albany Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on November 19, 1940, in Winchester to Lawrence and Clellie DeWeese. She married Norman Charles Brumley on July 17, 1959.
She graduated from Union High School in 1958. She worked at Anchor Hocking, Winchester Speedway, Randolph Nursing Home and Winchester Bowl.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and watching the Cincinnati Reds. She loved listening to country music. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of East Street Congregational
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Charles (Chuck), one sister Carolyn Fackson and infant grandson Clayton Jordan Brumley.
She is survived by her children Rex wife Cheryl, Sandy, Greg wife Monica, Vonda husband Larry and Terri fiancé Derek. Brother Ronnie wife Kay, Sisters Flonnie husband Gene, Janice husband John and Bonnie. Grandchildren Galen, Dustin, Jeremiah, Gage, Gracey and Jayleigh. Step grandchildren Nathaniel, Gabriel, Derek, Kyla and Patterson. She also had 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate Norma’s life will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Rob Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may gather and share from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday.
