Mary (Penny) Catherine Woolf, 99 of Winchester, Indiana passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers Indiana following complications after a fall.
Penny was born July 18, 1922 in Sidney, Ohio to Jasper and Cora Galbreath.
Penny married James W. Woolf August 4, 1940. They enjoyed 54 wonderful years together prior to his death in July 17, 1994.
Penny is survived by one son, William (Bill) Woolf (Shirley), grandson Michael Woolf (Elizabeth), granddaughter, Tara LeighAnn Woolf, and two great grandsons, Ryan Woolf (Pamela) and Connor Woolf, and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Woolf; including many nieces and nephews.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Woolf, son, Jack L. Woolf, granddaughter Christie Ann Woolf; Brothers: Lawrence, Melvin, and sisters: Treva, Faye, and Opal.
Penny’s family meant the world to her. She also enjoyed her many friends. She enjoyed drawing and painting, reading, volunteering, traveling, helping others among many other things. She belonged to several organizations: Red Hats, Eastern Star, and women’s professional business association. Penny was a member of Countryside Christian Church, as well as volunteering in several local and state organizations.
Penny will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched…leaving footprints in many hearts forever.
A service to celebrate Penny’s life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Father John W. Tonkin, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 12-2 p.m., on Friday, at the funeral home.
