Mary Sharon Whitted

Mary Sharon Whitted, 89, of Winchester, passed away on Monday, June 08, 2026, at Cardinal Care Strategies in Muncie, IN.

Sharon was born on July 4, 1936, in Muncie, to the late William and Mary Catherine Love. She was a 1954 graduate of McKinley High School. Sharon worked as a clerk at Haines Drug Store for many years. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 69 years, Donald Paul Whitted; two sons, Mike Whitted and Bryan Whitted; four grandchildren, Kiel Whitted (Somo), Amanda Bedinghaus (Paul), Kaitlyn Shaw (Matthew), and Mackenzie Clifford (Chris); six great grandchildren, Rhyder and Harper Clifford, Oliver and Sadie Shaw, and Hadley and Mason Bedinghaus; five siblings, Daniel Love, Ruby St. Meyer, Jennifer Curk, Jim Love, and Angel Landess; sister-in-law, Janet Ross; brother-in-law, Bob Whitted and several nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by stepmother, Irene Love; two siblings, Bill Love and June Love; and a daughter-in-law, Phoebe (Short) Whitted.

A funeral service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 12, 2026, at Walker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fountain Park Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Friday at Walker Funeral Home.
