Mary Etta Dillow, 93, of Winchester, Indiana passed away on August 30, 2024, at Reid Health, Richmond, Indiana. She was born on May 13, 1931 to Deal A. and Mary Eugenia (Hough) Sanders. She married her husband Richard A. Dillow on September 19, 1948.
Mary Etta loved the Lord and enjoyed working in the church. She started playing the piano for church as a teenager and was still playing into her late 80s. Over the years she played both the piano and the organ. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School and working with the youth group for many years. After her husband passed away, Mary Etta moved to Florida for a number of years where she made new friendships and a lot of good memories.
Mary Etta is survived by her children, Rick (wife Johna) Dillow, Lagrange, Vicky (husband Dennis) Woodbury, Ridgeville, Bill (wife Karen) Dillow, Winchester, Tom (wife Mindy) Dillow, Brownsburg and Becky (husband Scott) Fitzgerald, Indianapolis, 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one on the way, and several great great grandchildren.
Mary Etta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard and granddaughter, Rhona Carlon, brother, Louie Sanders and sister-in-law, Linda Sanders.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, Indiana from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be immediately following visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, Indiana with Tom Sells officiating.
Burial will be at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester, Indiana.
