Mary Alice Clements

Mary Alice Clements, 97, of Lynn, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Mary Alice was born on November 8, 1928. She was a 1946 graduate of McKinley High School in Winchester, Indiana. Mary Alice married Wilbur Clements on September 4, 1948. Mary Alice and Wilbur shared 56 years of marriage before his death in 2005. Mary Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, bowling, square dancing, and was an active member of Ad-A-Link and many other clubs. Mary Alice was a member of the First Church of Christ in Lynn, Indiana. 

Mary Alice is survived by her two children, Connie Mutterspaugh (Michael), Rex Clements (Cheryl); five grandchildren, Alexander Jay Mutterspaugh (Julie), Anita Paige (Anthony), Andrea Fortwendel (Jarrod), Greg Clements (Christie), and Jill Miller (Wade); 12 great-grandchildren, Emme Shanks (Seth), Ethan Mutterspaugh, Elyse Mutterspaugh, Kristin Mutterspaugh, Kyla Mutterspaugh, Benjamin Paige, Miriam Paige, Jabez Fortwendel, Mabel Fortwendel, Tysen Clements, Cora Miller, and Weston Miller; brother, David Burge (Susie); sister-in-law, Delight Burge; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Alice was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Clements, parents Paul and Edith Burge, and brother James “Bud” Burge.

A funeral service to celebrate Mary Alice’s life will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, November 24, 2025, at Walker Funeral Home, Winchester, Indiana. Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Monday. Pastor Ray Ellis will officiate. Burial will follow in Spartanburg Cemetery in Spartanburg, Indiana. Memorial contributions, may be made to the First Church of Christ, 206 W. Church St., Lynn, IN 47355.
