Marilyn Pash Obituary

Marilyn Leigh (Woolf) Pash, 93, of Winchester, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at her home. She was born January 26, 1931 to the late Ellis “Curly” and Anna (Conley) Woolf and graduated from Winchester Community High School in 1948.

Marilyn was a vibrant and active member of the Winchester community. She served as the City Clerk Treasurer from January 1975 to December 2003 and was awarded the prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash Award for her accomplishments in this role. She was a member of Eastern Star and Sigma Phi Gamma, and she volunteered for various programs such as Kids Hope at Baker Elementary School and the gift shop at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital. She was also a dedicated member of Countryside Christian Church of Winchester where she enjoyed being a member of the Mary Martha Circle. In her spare time, Marilyn loved playing cards, watching the Force of Winchester at marching band competitions, bowling, dancing, reading mystery novels, and making incredible dinners for as many people as she could.

Marilyn loved her family and friends deeply, and she was an ever-present source of joy and love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She attended every marching band competition, sporting event, dance recital, and graduation, and she enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the park – always followed by a stop at the House of Flavors for ice cream. She loved to tell jokes and had the best stories for any occasion. She cared deeply for other people and spent her life in service, and she will be missed greatly by those who had the privilege to know her.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Pash, son Robert “Bobby” Pash, granddaughter Heather Pash, grandson Jason Antrim, daughter Angela Pash, son-in-law John Kaufman, as well as her siblings James, Ellis Jr., Rosemary (Shockney), Twanette, Earl, Frank, George, and Estle June Woolf.

Marilyn is survived by her sister Esta “Jane” Pugh, her daughters Sondra Kaufman, Carrie (Dean) Dillard, and Kim (Mark) Winger, her grandchildren Cory Pash, Tori Pash, Karinsa Tucker, Cade and Cole Tucker, Mylie (Hunter) Brennan, and Makenzie (Blaine) Pasma, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives may call for visitation from 3-5 PM Saturday, March 9th at Countryside Christian Church. A celebration of life service will follow at 5 PM. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Fountain Park Cemetery.
