Marilyn Baldwin Obituary

Marilyn Ann Baldwin, 85 of Winchester, surrounded by her children went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, February 28, 2024.  She was born on October 15, 1938 to Wilber and Iris (Reece) Bullen.

Marilyn graduated from Winchester High School in 1956.  Following graduation she worked at Bi-Lo Furniture where she met her future husband.  She also over the years worked at Kings Abstract, Assessors Office, Clerk’s Office and several years Surveyors Office.

Marilyn married Keith Baldwin on July 9, 1960.  He preceded her in death on September 22, 2021.  They started their married life farming and then raising their three children.

Marilyn was a city girl but quickly learned to love the farm life.  She would help Keith on the farm driving tractor, helping with the animals and anything else that needed to be done.  She was also a very good cook and prepared meals for those helping on the farm.

Marilyn was a member of the Winchester Church of the Nazarene.  She was a Sunday school teacher and helped with children’s activities.

Her greatest treasure was her family whom she loved dearly.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Julie Patty, Winchester, IN, Jeff (Tylene) Baldwin, Pendleton, IN, and Jay (Jennifer) Baldwin, Winchester, IN; eight grandchildren, Matthew Patty, Aaron (Lauren) Patty, Jason Baldwin, Zachary (Mandi) Baldwin, Caleb (Kayla) Baldwin, Ashlyn (Joseph) Neal, Sydney Baldwin, and Allison (Johnny) Harris; ten great grandchildren, Benjamin Patty, Mac Baldwin, Weston Patty, Cru Hesser, Harrison Baldwin, Marta Baldwin, Caden Patty, Charlotte Baldwin, Samuel Neal, and Stella Harris; her twin sister, Carolyn (Arvin) Carpenter; brothers-in-law, Marvin Baldwin and Orla (Linda) Baldwin; and sister-in-law, Karen Baldwin.

In addition to her husband, Keith, she was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Iris Bullen; her father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Thelma Baldwin; brother-in-law, Guy Baldwin; sisters-in-law, Janice Baldwin and Marjorie Baldwin; and son-in-law, Dennis Patty.

A service to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the Winchester Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Danny Hines officiating.  Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 3-6 p.m., on Sunday, March 3, as well as an hour before services, on Monday, at the church.  Contributions can be made in her memory to the Winchester Church of the Nazarene, 403 S Main St, Winchester, IN 47394.
