Kit F. Cochran, 68, passed into our loving Father’s arms on November 4, 2021, after facing a courageous battle with cancer for 2 ½ years. Kit married Beth Ann (Cox), who made his life complete, on September 17, 2016. They were blessed with many wonderful adventures to Nashville, TN, Kit’s favorite destination.
Kit was born on October 7, 1953 to Bill and Marjorie Cochran. He was known throughout the community, following proudly in his father’s footsteps with the Cochran Tree Service business. He was most recently employed by OMEGA Enterprises in Winchester and prior to that at Armstrong Mould as a mould maker. Kit was a past governor of the Moose Lodge and he was a member of the Ridgeville American Legion Post 507. He never met a stranger; as a matter of fact he would help anyone who needed help. Kit enjoyed how peaceful it was with Beth’s love of fishing as well as detailing trucks and country music.
Kit is survived by his loving wife Beth; sons, Kevin (Tiffany) and Dan (Megan); brother, Billy Joe (Mary Jane); sisters, Darlene Roberts (Ronald), Lo Pegg Glosette (Jeff), Tini Berg (Max), and Norma Jean Deffenbaugh; 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A special thanks to Kit’s father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Charlotte Cox, for their precious assistance and prayers.
Kit was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joey Cochran; sister, Mary Elizabeth Cochran; brother, Richard Cochran; and brothers-in-law, Keith Williams, Biff Glosette, and Ron Deffenbaugh.
A service to celebrate Kit’s life will be at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Community Fellowship Church, 1051 N. Jackson Pike, Union City, Indiana, with Pastor Rich Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 3-7 p.m., on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester.
Walker Funeral Home in Winchester is entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerswinchester.com.
