Keith L Baldwin, 88 of Winchester, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, September 22nd. He was born on December 17, 1932 to Lawrence & Thelma (Rowe) Baldwin. He graduated from Lynn High School in 1950.
He enlisted in the army and was sent to Korea from 1954 - 1956. He helped rebuild the roads following the war as a heavy equipment operator.
Keith married Marilyn Bullen on July 9, 1960 and they started their married life farming and then raising their three children.
He was a dairy & hog farmer many years. His main interest was in the dairy cows. Once he was out of farming, he enjoyed being outside working or taking care of his animals which included chickens and rabbits. He enjoyed going to the 4-H fair and watching his children and grandchildren show their animals. He enjoyed listening to gospel quartet music, watching the old western movies and farming related shows.
He also worked at the Randolph County Highway Dept for many years until his retirement, from running the bulldozer, driving the dump trucks, to taking care of the signs around the county in the last few years he was there.
He was a member of the Winchester Church of the Nazarene where in his younger years was a Sunday school teacher, helped with hayrides and other children/youth activities.
He greatest treasure was his family whom he loved dearly and was always there to lend a helping hand.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Baldwin. Children, Julie Patty, Winchester, Jeff (Tylene) Baldwin, Pendleton, IN, Jay (Jennifer) Baldwin, Winchester.
Eight grandchildren, Matthew Patty, Aaron (wife Lauren) Patty , Jason Baldwin, Zachary (wife Mandi) Baldwin, Caleb (wife Kayla) Baldwin, Ashlyn (husband Joseph) Neal, Sydney Baldwin, Allison Baldwin.
Six great grandchildren, Benjamin Patty, Mac Baldwin, Weston Patty, Cru Hesser, Harrison Baldwin, Marta Baldwin.
Brothers, Marvin (Marjorie) Baldwin and Orla (Linda) Baldwin, sister-in-laws, Karen Baldwin and Carolyn (Arvin) Carpenter. Several nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by parents, Lawrence & Thelma Baldwin, sister-in-law, Janice Baldwin, brother, Guy Baldwin, son-in-law, Dennis Patty.
A service to celebrate Keith’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the Winchester First Church of the Nazarene, with pastor Danny Hines officiating. Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m., on Tuesday, September 28, as well as an hour before services at the church. Contributions can be made in his memory to Winchester Church of the Nazarene and the Randolph County, Indiana Fairground Capital Improvement Project.
