Kailee Ward

          It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kailee Marie Ward. She was 33 years old. Kailee was born April 11, 1992, in Richmond, IN to Bart and Shelly (Haney) Ward.

          Kailee was a 2010 graduate of Randolph Southern High School where she enjoyed sports and made many lifelong friendships. Kailee most recently worked at Amazing Joe's Steakhouse. Her spunk and charm undoubtedly left their mark on the relationships she formed there. Kailee was blessed with an amazing artistic vibe that was shown through her unique style and bold personality. She was so easy to love with that beautiful smile and infectious since of humor.

          Kailee was a warrior. She fought hard to overcome her struggles. This battle, she was not able to win.

          Left to cherish Kailee’s memory are her parents, Bart and Shelly Ward. Sister, Lindsay Ward (Austin Davis). Beloved son, Gibson Burkhardt and his father Caleb Burkhardt. Grandfather Bob Rouch. Aunts and uncles, Kent and Michelle Ward, Karen Ward, and Julie and Emery Russell. Many cousins.

          Kailee is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Kenneth Ward and Norma Rouch. Maternal grandparents David and Ruby Haney. Uncle Brett Ward and Aunt Sheila Mitchell.

          A funeral service to celebrate Kailee’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Lynn Friends Church with Pastor Matt Windham officiating. Burial will follow at Quaker Lynn Cemetery.

          Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Tuesday at Lynn Friends Church.
