Judith “Judy” Kay Hale, 80, of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Parker Health Care in Parker City, Indiana. She was born on April 27, 1943, to John Harvey and Marian Garnet (Hobbs) Hildreth.
Judy was a graduate of Parker High School. She also attended Porter Business College in Indianapolis. Judy worked at Warner Gear in Muncie, then she worked for John Tanner for many years. She was a mom to Kevin and was always there for him and showed how much she loved him through her saintly words and actions. Family always loved her cinnamon crescent rolls that Judy would make for holidays and family gatherings. Judy always had a smile on her face and enjoyed sharing a laugh with others.
Judy is survived by her son, Kevin Hale; grandchildren, Morgan Hale, Destiny Butler, and Skyler Butler; brother, Richard Hildreth; sister, Beverly Hildreth; nephew, John Hildreth; niece, Rebecca (Hildreth) Wasio; great-nieces, Madeline & Emma Hildreth; as well as many cousins and extended family.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Hale; and a sister, Mary Ruth Hildreth.
Services to celebrate Judy’s life were held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Rob Butler officiating. Burial followed at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. Memorials in Judy’s name can be made to East Street Congregational Christian Church, 128 N. East St., Winchester, IN 47394, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
