Judith "Judi" Ann (Addington) Simmons

          Judith “Judi” Ann Simmons, 70, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  She was born in Winchester, on December 16, 1950, to Floyd and Ethel (Green) Addington. 

Judi graduated from Winchester Community High School.  She was a Respiratory Therapist at Randolph County Hospital and St. Vincent Randolph Hospital.  She enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

Judi is survived by her children, Rodney Simmons of Muncie, Dawayne Simmons of Winchester, and Julie (Brent) Ross of Richmond; step daughter, Teresa Simmons; three grandchildren, Shalya Whittington, Aaron Burge, and Brody Ross; great grandchildren, Jackson Whittington and Wyatt Whittington; a brother, Michael (Marilyn) Addington; and two sisters, Linda Wolfe and Tammy (Kelly) Moore.

Judi was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gary in 2019; son, Tim Simmons; and brother, Robert “Bob” Addington.

A private family service will be at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Straley officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends and family may call from 12-2 p.m., on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
