Joseph Allen McCord

Joseph Allen McCord went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.  Joseph was born July 7, 1941, in Muncie, IN, to the late Elmer and Mary Beulah (Sims) McCord. 

On October 26, 1959, Joseph married Beverly Sue McClish.  She passed away July 6, 2016. 

Joseph was the owner of McCord Trucking.

Joseph is survived by his second wife, Teresa (Vance) Whyde McCord; his 8 children, Emma Gayle Collins of Winchester, Beverly McCord-Thornburg of Winchester, Stacey (Dave) Woodbury of Union City, Jackie (Kelly McCoy) Price of Winchester, Danielle (Doug) Bane of Lynn, Nicky (Jeff) Fields of Farmland, Joseph Adam McCord of Ridgeville, and Joshua Allen McCord of Winchester; step children, Cassie Renee Whyde  and Dylan Cole Whyde; 24 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren; three brothers, Danny (Margi) McCord of Farmland, Leon (Joyce) McCord of Ridgeville, and Monty (Vickie) McCord of Ridgeville; and one sister, Evelyn (Jim) Rutledge of Farmland.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly; eight brothers, Alfred, Melvin, Duane, Robert, Darrell, Orville, Ronnie, and Benny; two sisters, Lavina Bogue and Frieda Frey; a grandson and a great granddaughter.

A service to celebrate Joseph’s life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the United Pentecostal Church in Winchester, with Pastor Greg Pruett officiating.  Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.

Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m., on Tuesday, September 7 and an hour before the services on Wednesday all at the church.  Memorials may be made to the United Pentecostal Church, 460 Elm St, Winchester, IN 47394.
