John R Melton

John Melton, 78, passed away on October 28, 2022, at Reid Health in Richmond. He was born February 8, 1944, in Albany, Kentucky to James and Bessie (Sidwell) Melton.

John retired from Anchor Glass after 40 years.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on automobiles, woodworking, and spending time with his family and grandkids.

John leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 50 years, Deborah (Swabb) Melton; his son, Jim (Angie) Melton; three grandsons, Marcus, Mason, and Marshall Melton; and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jim Melton; and his sister, Phyllis Mock.

The family has chosen to have a private family service with Pastor Rich Collins officiating.  Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
