Joe Carl Sprinkle

Joe Carl Sprinkle, 84, of Winchester, Indiana passed away on August 24, 2021 from complications due to Covid-19. 

He was born to parents Ted and Golden Sprinkle, on August 9, 1937, in Lee County, Virginia.  After high school, he became a mould maker for OMCO in Winchester and later retired from Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida.  He married Elaine, his loving and caring wife in 2005 who survives him.

Joe is also survived by his 6 children, 8 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren, as well as several step children and step grandchildren.

Eldest daughter, Sue Tarter (husband Mark, granddaughters, Melissa (husband Brian) and Katie, great grandchildren, Jayda, Donovan, Mea, Sunna, Deacon, Dylan, Mary Jane, Hunter, Carly, Parker, Kenslee, and Kaydance), daughter, Joann Stuckey (husband Scott, grandchildren, Jeremy (wife Michelle) and Nicole (husband Jason), great grandchildren, Jordan (wife Lydia) Mickayla, Landyn, Layne, Kynslee, Ethan, and Trevor); son, Joe Sprinkle, Jr. (wife Heather, granddaughters, Cheyenne and Alexis); daughter, Pat Janke (husband Scott, grandson Ian); daughter, Mary Sprinkle; and son, Christopher Sprinkle (grandson Christian).

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Golden Sprinkle; and his wife, Ovidene Sprinkle.

A service to celebrate Joe’s life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Friday,  August 27, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester.  A private family burial will be at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.

Friends and family may call from 12-2 p.m., on Friday at the funeral home.  The family asks in lieu of flowers to consider receiving your Covid-19 vaccines to save lives.  Due to Covid 19, it is required that all guests wear masks and socially distance at all times.
