Jesse (Jay) Sickels, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Community North Hospital, in Indianapolis. He was born on February 15, 1950, in Randolph County, to the late Maurice and Antoinette Sickels.
Uncle Jay grew up on a dairy farm in Union City, Indiana. He graduated school from Union City and attended Indiana University. Uncle Jay retired from Edward B. Morris Inc. in Indianapolis.
He was an avid IU, Colts, and a horse racing fan. Uncle Jay loved watching his great nieces and nephews play sports and show animals in 4-H.
Uncle Jay is survived by his nephew Shane Hall; his niece, Shawndell Osterholt and husband, Jim of Modoc; his great niece, Logan Gough and husband Landon of Ridgeville; great nephews, Camren Massengale and wife Breanna of Mechanicsburg, IN, Cullen hall of Winchester, Cobe Croyle of Winchester, and Cendell and Cloee Osterholt of Modoc; great great niece, Brooklyn Massengale; great great nephew, Cayden Gough; a great great nephew is due in June; and special friend, Rey Balcazar of Minneapolis, MN.
Uncle Jay was preceded in death by his sister, Faleigh Hall; and his parents.
Uncle Jay’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services. Memorials in Jay's name can be made to Cancer Services of Randolph County, 133 N. Meridian St., Winchester, IN 47394.
