Jerry Allen Durham, 88, of Winchester, passed away on September 30th. He is survived by his adoring wife of 66 years, Janet (Hale); sons Myron (Pam Ramsey) and Scott; his grandchildren Morgan Moore (Durham) and Ryan & Lauren Durham (Jeremiah Dailey) and Sean May & Shelby May; and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Cindy Durham (Mills) as well as his parents, John Durham & Clara Bebout (Lawson), and siblings, Barbara McCoy (Durham) and Broc & William Bebout.
Jerry will be remembered as a very proud Army veteran, long time OMCO employee, a lifelong farmer, an avid fisherman and a hard worker. Jerry is an ornery soul who loved spending most of his retirement seasons in Florida with his wife and friends, making his great-grandchildren smile and maintaining his garden.
A service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastor Jeff Straley officiating. A burial with military service will be held at a later date at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry’s name can be made to the Winchester Moose Lodge Scholarship Fund, 181 N Middle School Rd, Winchester, IN 47394.
