Jane M. Ashley, 91, of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday April 5, 2026. She was born April 27, 1934, in Union City, IN to parents Paul Elbert Bradburn and Esta Opal (Strait) Bradburn.
She is joining her husband Lemon, her parents, her brother’s Gale Bradburn and Fred Bradburn, Her sister Emmalee Reitenour and her grandson Will Yates. She has survived by her three sons Dave (Lou) Ashley, Steve (Sue) Ashley, and Mike (Anita) Ashley, her sister, Barbara Brandenburg, brother Harold (Marilyn) Bradburn. She is also survived by grandchildren Patty (Todd) Pegg, Michele (Austin) Yates, Jaime (Kim) Thomas, Scott (Lisa) Ashley, Chad (Bridget) Ashley, Jody Thomas, Shaun (Diane) Ashley, Christopher Ashley, Marc (Katy) Mullins, Heather (Trevor) Hogg, Kristi (Chuck) Sockol. Many great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren and special friends Joyce Caylor and Cindy Skeeters.
Jane loves to watch the hummingbirds out from her dining room window. She also enjoyed having the kids and the grandkids and the grandbabies around. She liked watching the colts play in the field from the same window.
A funeral service to celebrate Jane’s life will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Walker Funeral Home, 248 E. South St. in Winchester. Pastor Jonathan Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow at New Liberty Cemetery 605 W 700 S, Lynn, IN 47355.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
