Iris J (Wagner) Wolfe

Iris J. Wolfe, 94, of Winchester, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 due to complications from Covid.  She was born on July 1, 1926 in Randolph County to Frank and Myrtle (Hale) Wagner. 

Iris was a 1944 graduate of Lincoln High School.  She was employed as a bookkeeper for the Randolph County Highway Department for 42 years. She loved being with her family and friends.  

She is survived by two daughters, Teresa (husband Mark) Horner of Williamsburg and Peggy (husband Randy) Hunter of Winchester and one son, Mick Wolfe, of Winchester; three granddaughters, Emily (husband Matt) Fisher of Lynn, Natalie (husband Hafid) Adnane of Brownsburg and Camille (husband Justin) Edwards of Yorktown; four grandsons, Sam Wolfe of Winchester, Phil Wolfe (wife Michelle) of Tremont, IL; Cody Hunter (wife Abby) of Selma and Tom (wife Tierney) of Elsinore, MO; great-grandchildren Quentin and Nathan Fisher, Amani and Mayssa Adnane, Hunter Edwards, Riley and Reagan Hunter, Grace and Evelyn Wolfe and Landin Wolfe and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 66 years, Max; five brothers, Clarence, John, Sam, Elmer and Albert; two sisters, Edith Burge and June Cass. 

The family has planned a private service due to Covid.  A Memorial Service to honor and remember Iris will be held in the spring for family and friends.
