Harold Scott Hunley, 61, of Winchester, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at his home. He was born on May 16, 1961, in Winchester, to Harold and Mary Alice (McClish) Hunley.
Scott was a 1980 graduate of Winchester Community High School. He worked as a resort group leader at Anchor Hocking Glass. Scott was a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching TV. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his grandchildren.
Scott is survived by his wife, Lora (Moreland) Hunley of Winchester; son, Travis (Melissa) Hunley of Winchester; grandchildren, Tyla (fiancé Gavin Anderson) Castel, Alisha (boyfriend Dekota Clemmons), Jenica Hunley, and Colton Tinsman; great grandchildren, Sa-Ryah, Brooklynn, Caspian, Remington, and Atlas; two sisters, Julie Alderson and Sally (John) Brockman; aunts and uncles Wanda and Terry Holden, Janet Batey, and Junior McClish; and several nieces and nephews.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Alice (McClish) Hunley; aunts and uncles, Bev McCord, Phyllis Shriver, June Batey, Junior Batey, Shirley Batey, and Joe McCord; father-in-law, Taft Moreland, and brothers-in-law, Martin Alderson and Larry Moreland.
A service to celebrate his life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastor Greg Pruett officiating. Burial to follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 12-2 p.m., on Thursday at the funeral home.
