Frances “Fanny” L. Harris, 80, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Winchester. She was born on May 17, 1941, in Winchester, to John and Martha (Ashcroft) Wysong.
Fanny was a 1959 graduate of White River High School. She was a farmer and also worked for Jay Randolph Developmental Center. Fanny was a member of Rural Couples and attended Randolph Friends Church in Ridgeville.
Fanny is survived by her son, Bart (Amanda) Harris of Geneva, IN; daughter, Sherri (Mike) Ritter of Auburn, IN; five grandchildren, Jessica Sutton, Jon (Chelsea) Ritter, Jessica (Kyle) Seacott, Ashley Harris, and Benjamin Ritter; one great grandchild; companion Gerald Swingley; brothers John Wysong and Phillip (Marsha) Wysong; and several nieces and nephews.
Fanny is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Sheldon Harris in 2014.
A service to celebrate Fanny’s life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home, with Jonathan Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 29 at the funeral home.
