Eva Delores Bower

On, June 7, 2023 Eva Delores Bower, 103, former resident of Winchester, was welcomed by the Lord into her eternal home.  Eva was born on April, 21 1920, in Ellettsville, Indiana.

During WWII, Eva worked at the Crane Naval Ammunition Depot in Southern Indiana.  Following the war, she began her career in banking, retiring April 1982.  Eva was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Winchester. 

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, and her sister, Martha Douglas.  She is survived by two daughters, Marsha Banter and Madonna Robertson (Bob), both of Winchester, IN; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; as well as nephews, Charles Douglas and Rev. Michael Douglas.

Entombment will be in Bloomington, Indiana.  Per her wishes, there will be no public services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Eva’s name may be made to Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation, 7725 N. College Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46240 or to the organization of the donor’s choice.
