Elizabeth Imogene (Hendrickson) Hendrickson

Elizabeth Imogene Hendrickson, 102, of Winchester went home to be with Jesus on Friday Morning, July 28, 2023 at the Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Winchester, IN.  Imogene was born on May 17, 1921, in Randolph County, IN to the late Joseph Elmer and Mary Ruth (Lee) Hendrickson. 

Imogene graduated from McKinley High School in 1939 and from Union Bible Seminary in Westfield, IN in 1941.  She was a missionary in Bolivia, South America with the Central Yearly Meeting of Friends for over 22 years.

Imogene was a member of Randolph Friends Church in Ridgeville, IN where she had been church treasurer, Sunday School teacher, pianist and Vacation Bible School Worker.  She was also a member of the Randolph County Holiness Association.

Imogene leaves to cherish her memory; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Hendrickson of Winchester; special cousin, Howard (Frances) Lee of Carmel, IN; and several nieces and nephews, Bob Hendrickson (Stan Osborn) Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Pat Hendrickson, Olathe, Kansas, Audrea Cox, Saratoga, IN, Don (Cheryl) Cox, Bradenton, Florida, Joe (Marti) Cox, Jacksonville, Florida, Ruth Cox, Nashville, Tennessee, Dale (Debbie) Newby, Lancaster, South Carolina, Marilyn Newby, St. Peters, Missouri; and many other great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lee Hendrickson, and two sisters, Marjorie Cox and Maxine Cox; nephews, Paul Hendrickson, David Cox and Stephen Cox.

A service to celebrate Imogene’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, August, 3, 2023, at the Randolph Friends Church, with Pastor Jonathan Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow at the Saratoga Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at the church to share and remember from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., before the funeral on Thursday.  Memorials in Imogene’s name may be made to Randolph Friends Church, 6531 N 300 W, Ridgeville, IN 47380.
