Duane E. Eisenhour, 103, of Union City, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Heritage of Union City.
Duane was born on October 2, 1922, in Randolph County, Indiana to the late John and Arnetta Eisenhour. He was a 1940 graduate of Wayne High School. Duane started his career as a farmer and had worked at Snow Hill Grain Elevator before becoming owner and operator of Casstown and Country Junction Grain Elevators. Duane was a member of Peaceful Valley Friends Church, 50-year member of the Troy, OH Masonic Lodge, the Shriners’ Club, DeMolay Fraternity, and Farm Bureau. Duane enjoyed golf, mowing the lawn and farming.
Duane is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Iris Eisenhour; two sons, Ronald Eisenhour (Connie), and Lowell Eisenhour (Sheila); five step-children, Linda Durham (Buck), Larry Thornburg, Carol Yaney (Dallas), Randy Thornburg, and Lori Knoll (Tim); five grandchildren, Chad, Michelle, Troy, Shuree, and Cole; and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Duane was preceded in death by his first wife, Elberta Eisenhour.
A funeral Service to celebrate Duane’s life will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Peaceful Valley Friends Church, 5518 S. Co. Rd. 500 E., Lynn, IN 47355. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy, OH.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00am until 1:00pm Tuesday at Peaceful Valley Friends Church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Peaceful Valley Friends Church.
